Set the desk around the work
Measure the monitor, laptop, notebook and any equipment that must stay on the surface. Leave room for elbows and cable routing rather than choosing a desk by width alone.
Choose chair support you can adjust
Look for a seat height that lets feet rest on the floor, a back that supports the working posture and adjustments you will actually use. A stylish chair still needs to fit the person using it.
Use light and storage to protect focus
Place the screen away from direct glare, keep frequently used items within reach and move archive storage out of the primary work zone. Small decisions reduce daily friction.
